3 LÝ DO BẠN NÊN ĐI DU HỌC

Trước năm hai đại học, tôi chưa từng có ý định đi du học. Xung quanh tôi chẳng có ai đi du học hay được học bổng cả. Trong khi những người đi du học mà tôi biết thì đều là những người hơn tôi nhiều cái đầu. Thêm vào đó là chẳng có ai bảo tôi rằng tôi có thể đi du học. Tôi may mắn khi thầy giáo dạy tôi môn Nhập môn luôn nhắc đến chuyện du học trong mỗi buổi dạy của Thầy. Điều đó khuyến khích chúng tôi học tiếp sau khi tốt nghiệp.

Từ đó, tôi nghiêm túc trong việc tìm lý do tôi nên đi du học. Những lý do cao cả là tiếp thu tri thức mới của nhân loại, tiếp cận máy móc hiện đại,… Ngoài ra, tôi thực dụng hơn khi quan tâm đến những lý do như:

1. Tôi xứng đáng với số tiền học bổng đó

Nhiều người khác có hồ sơ và kiến thức giống tôi đã giành được học bổng. Tại sao tôi lại không? Số tiền đó có thể là 12000 euros tiền mặt cho 1 năm học ở Pháp. Hay miễn học phí và 5200 euros sinh hoạt phí cho 1 năm học ở Ý. Với chương trình internship thì đó có thể là vé máy bay khứ hồi và bao ăn, ở và chi phí đi lại trong các hoạt động của chương trình. Những số tiền đó chỉ cách ví tiền của tôi đúng 1 bước là nộp hồ sơ mà thôi. Vậy thì tại sao mình không apply nhỉ?

2. Tôi được sử dụng những phương tiện/thiết bị mà có lẽ nhiều năm sau mới xuất hiện ở quê nhà

Xe bus 2 tầng tại Singapore

Đó là xe bus 2 tầng ở Singapore, là hệ thống MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) ở Singapore, Hàn, Đài Loan. Hay như monorail giống như đường sắt trên cao Cát Linh – Hà Đông tại Nhật Bản. Bạ sử dụng thẻ để đi các hệ thống vận tải đó thay cho mua vé giấy và phụ xe. Đó là nhét tiền (hoặc quẹt thẻ) vào máy giặt để giặt quần áo….

3. Tôi được trải nghiệm những việc làm mà có lẽ nhiều chục năm sau mới thấy ở quê nhà

Khi có được học bổng du học nước ngoài, bạn sẽ có hiều trải nghiệm mới. Đó là người đi bộ được các xe khác dừng lại nhường đường. Hay đứng ở một bên khi đi thang cuốn để tạo không gian cho những người vội ở đằng sau đi lên. Đó là đi siêu thị mà vẫn được đeo túi/balo…

Kết hợp của những lý do cao cả và 3 lý do không cao cả trên đã thúc đẩy tôi cần phải sống ở nước ngoài một thời gian. Và con đường khả quan nhất với tôi đó là du học. Còn bạn thì sao? Đã tìm được lý do để đi chưa?
